In short… YES!
I can massage clients in a variety of positions, and sometimes when doing with acute pain for example, the conventional face up, and face down approaches are off the cards.
New mums who are breastfeeding is a good example. If you have sore and tender breasts, and face down is not happening, then I revert back to side lying postion, which is how I treat my pregnancy clients.
Also, you don’t have to worry about leaking, it happens! All the linen is fresh, and thanks to Covid guidelines, everything can be santised under the sheets afterwards. It’s not a problem.
What IS a problem is the neck and shoudler discomfort you may be experiencing due to extra weight possibly not supported with your underwear, and if you are brand new mum, sleep will be short in supply, as well as building strong biceps from carrying your new infant around.
