Reeling you in....

So anyway, here I am, should be asleep, but my mind is on a hamster wheel and I had to share this with you incase it’s relevant.

As many of you know, I haven’t been able to work due to Covid 19 measures over the last year, and I will be returning to work on the 26th April. I am in charge of my own environment, and I am my own boss, and I know exactly what to expect with regards to how I work, my own health and safety protocols and processes.

It will still be a shock though, being amongst people again, being out in public, I remember it was the last time when I got back to work in June.

Then I got to thinking about my corporate athletes… what is going to make you WANT to go back into the workplace? If you haven’t thought about it already, I think it might be a good idea.

I have had comments about colleagues missing each others banter and chat, I get that completely.

What about the environment though? What do you want to see in the workplace with regard to how the office is managed? Also, what, as an employee, would you like to see your employer offering as part of the permanent set up?

Wellness coaching and/or alternative therapies onsite?

Onsite Gyms so you don’t have to travel outside?

Onsite decent coffee shops and/or delivery?

Lunchtime learning classes?

Windows that open, and more healthy green space to have meetings in? (or maybe you would just like to have less meetings about meetings)

I am very interested to find out what is going to help you feel secure in your workplace. I have been in my own flat bubble for the majority of the year, I rarely leave my flat for more than an hour, everything is timed out, it’s going to be a shock for me, I tell you.

Please comment as I am super keen to find out more.

Onward!
