Your future self will thank you for this...

So anyway...

Every day is a learning day.

Every day is chance to do, or do not do things differently from yesterday.

I love getting older.  I've learned an absolute heap.  I was in discussion with my youngest niece today, and she has started doing extra 'conditioning' classes at Uni to get fitter and more in shape.  I am super proud of this.  I also found myself saying to her, that if I was her age again, I would keep up my skill of being able to do handstands, and forward rolls.  The oddest things pop into my head sometimes, and after a treatment one day I walked out of my room and asked my colleague Jane when the last time was that she did a forward roll was... Jane of course managed to  do one no bother.  Sigh. How have I lost my confidence to move? Can I get it back?

What do you want to still be good at in 20 years time? How do you want to feel? What vision do you have of yourself? What are your eating habits like?

I've got to thinking that any changes I can make now, my future self will be thanking me for?

It's no coincidence that every person I know particularly over the age of 50 who does yoga, looks amazing. Some people have just newly taken it up, and others have been life long devotees.

I recently had a conversation with a client who's Mum is in her 80's and had practiced yoga having taken it up in her 60's, and she sits cross legged on the floor playing with her Grandkids.  I think thats super cool.

So, this week I have been mostly getting down ward dog on, and I have been practicing supporting my weight on my arms (hand stand prep)... and I have been reminding myself of something that I constantly tell my clients..

Even The Beatles were crap 'til they went to Hamburg.  Apparently, until they were put in a position of playing 3 shows a day, for 100 days in a row, they weren't up to much.  So folklore goes...

Whatever you can't manage to do now, all it takes is time, and practice

Have a think what you could do now, for you future...
